Jon and Jess from Tapper Funeral Service’s Christchurch branch visited our Hospice to present us with a very generous donation of £12,700. The Macmillan Unit is one of three local hospices to benefit from funds raised through Tapper’s metal recycling initiative.
Following a cremation at Harbour View, small amounts of metal can remain, often from orthopaedic or dental implants. While families may request these items back, most choose not to.
These metals are recycled and the proceeds donated to local good causes, helping to support care in the community.
Neal Williams, Trust Secretary said, “This generous gift will make a real difference to the patients and families we support across our services, and we are deeply grateful to the team at Tapper.”
