Chocolate Eggs raise funds for Macmillan Caring Locally: In the run up to Easter 2016, Christchurch Lions raffled 12 large Easter Eggs to raise funds for the Macmillan Caring Locally unit at Christchurch Hospital and a presentation was held at the unit when Lions Club members handed over a cheque for £1,000. Club President, Bernard Gilbert, said: “The Lions were very pleased to support the Unit because of all the wonderful work that they do and we offer our thanks to all the local pubs who promoted the sale of raffle tickets to their customers”.
