Keith was born and educated in the Reading area and studied engineering at Bournemouth University. He decided to settle in Bournemouth and a change of career path saw him move into hospitality management in 1996. He worked in many different positions (including duty manager) within the hotels across Bournemouth but eventually left the industry due to the long and anti-social hours. Keith now works for Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and has done so since 2001.

Keith has been supporting Macmillan Caring Locally since 2010 after he heard of the help given to his friend's mother. In memory of her, Keith took on a challenge to cycle across the Andes and Amazon. Keith funded the trip himself and hosted a number of events to raise as much as possible for the charity. Since then Keith has supported the charity by running the London Marathon (& several fun runs), working in a children's home in Nepal and he is now planning a SkyDive.

Keith has numerous friends and colleagues whose loved ones have been helped by Macmillan Caring Locally and the charity will always be extremely important to him. Keith was delighted to become a Trustee in 2015.
