London Marathon 2025

UPDATE JUNE 2024:

OUR PLACES FOR THE 2025 LONDON MARATHON ARE NOW FULL!

We have 5 Golden Bond places for THE BEST running event in the UK, possibly the world!

Register to take part in 26.2 miles of pavement pounding along the closed off streets of London. Take in the breath taking scenery of this epic event with thousands of others for an event like no other!

Registration Fee: £100.00 (Non-refundable)

Fundraising Pledge: £2,500.00

Why we charge a fee:

As with any event there is a cost involved. Macmillan Caring Locally pay a fee to London Marathon Events for our Golden Bond places.

As with previous London Marathon events, when people sign up we ask them to raise a minimum amount of fundraising, unfortunately with a running event people can become injured or unable to fulfil their place due to circumstances out of their control.

In previous years, it is unfortunate when people have to pull out of their Golden Bond place but to register for their place still costs the charity money. At the time of pulling out, more often than not their fundraising hasn’t started or falls short of the target meaning Macmillan Caring Locally is at a loss.

We think a £100.00 registration fee is a fair amount to ensure the participant who is interested will be committed to raising money for Macmillan Caring Locally and to their training schedule.

How to register:

In the first instance, please complete the form below to register your interest. Should you be accepted for this place, we ask that you pay the registration fee within 7 working days of acceptance. Failure to do so will result in your place being offered to someone else.

What you will get when you run for us:

  • Macmillan Caring Locally t-shirt to train in
  • Macmillan Caring Locally running vest to take part in
  • Collection tins or buckets for physical fundraising
  • Paper based sponsorship form
  • Link to an online sponsorship page
  • Macmillan Caring Locally representatives to cheer you on and meet you at the finish line
  • Help and advice with your fundraising if you need it

Most importantly:

By raising funds for Macmillan Caring Locally you will be making a difference to the staff, patients and their families who are cared for in your local hospice and in their homes.

Terms and Conditions:

• Your £100.00 registration fee is payable within 7 working days after acceptance
