Golden Partner

As part of our 50th Anniversary in 2024, Macmillan Caring Locally are encouraging local businesses, organisations, groups or clubs to register to be a Golden Partner. This essentially means adopting us as your charity of the year and working directly with our fundraising team. Together we can create fun and innovative ways to raise awareness and donations, to help us continue to provide specialist services in our community.

We also have a full calendar of exciting events and activities for our Golden Partners to get involved with so please do not hesitate to contact us for more information on how to get registered.

What an amazing charity Macmillan Caring Locally is. I am so proud to be a golden ambassador. In my working week as founder of my business and as a lecturer at the Arts University, I constantly promote the cause and spread the word, raising awareness of the charity whether that is asking businesses to donate or engaging students to help with the promotion and wider marketing. I was delighted to have designed the Brick by Brick logo and ‘Chuck your change’ boxes!

Macmillan Caring locally are in the forefront of my mind when making connections, let’s get that message of support out there!

Wishing you all the best for your amazing Golden Year. Congratulations!

Cheryl Davies.

Being asked to be a golden ambassador for Macmillan Caring Locally’s 50th anniversary is an absolute honour. Over the past decade, I’ve been very involved with this charity. However, it was last year, during my mother’s final weeks under the care of the Macmillan Unit, that I witnessed first hand the remarkable dedication of the staff.

From the medical professionals to the support team and volunteers, everyone worked tirelessly to provide comfort and assistance to both patients and their families. The Macmillan Unit holds a special significance in my heart, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to support their invaluable work – Cheryl.
