Steppin’ Out Academy of Performance have done it again! Two amazing shows in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally, ‘Junior Showstoppers 2018’ and ‘A Ticket to Dream’. Our grateful thanks as always to Angela Taylor, Scrypt, Tommy Bond, all the wonderful performers, the crew behind the scenes, and everyone who purchased tickets.
Founded by Principal Angela Taylor, the academy has been encouraging and developing performing arts in the community since 1991. The Steppin’ Out Academy puts on twice yearly shows, featuring performers of all ages, which encompass a variety of disciplines such as Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Acrobatic Arts. The shows, in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally, will not only provide funds from the sale of the tickets but will also help raise awareness about the charity and its work for cancer sufferers.
Angela Taylor, Steppin’ Out Academy Founder and Principal, said: “Macmillan Caring Locally is an amazing charity that does so much in our community for people affected by terminal diseases. We want to encourage our students to get acquainted with their work and learn that we all need to be supportive of the charities that need our help.”
Neal Williams, Trust Secretary of Macmillan Caring Locally, added: “We are very thankful that Angela and her team have chosen to support us by dedicating their shows to Macmillan Caring Locally. We wish them the best of luck with their shows and with their future ambitions. As they say in theatre, ‘break a leg’!”
