We have a variety of events that are happening throughout the year. Here are a selection of what is coming up.


01 January Christchurch Life Saving Club New Year's Day Charity Dip. Join us at Friar's Cliff Christchurch (next to the Beach Hut Cafe) for a refreshing dip in the sea in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally. Registration is at 11.30am and the dip is at 12.00.

20 February Barolo Charity Dinner. Join us for an evening of Italian fine food at Barolo in Bournemouth. All monies collected from the set menu and drinks will be donated to Macmillan Caring Locally. Set menu price £20.00. For more information go here

25 March Charity Fundraiser at Christchurch Conservative Club. Live music, fun auction, free entry, 8pm until late.

31 March / 01 April After Eight returns (in fond memory of Jean Hancock). 7.30 pm start at Kinson Community Centre. A great evening full of song and loads of laughs along the way. For more information and to book tickets go here.

01 April Sue's JOGLE Cycle Challenge. After a massive cycle challenge of Austria to Christchurch Dorset in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally, Sue is setting off on a cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End. 08 April Go Carolyn! Carolyn Emsley is celebrating her Golden Wedding Anniversary with a skydive and raising funds for the new Macmillan Unit building. To find out more and to support her brave challenge click here

23 April Virgin London Marathon. We regret that we have no golden bond places left for this event.

28 April Fundraising event in memory of John Wetton of the band Asia. 10am to 2pm at David Lloyd Leisure Ringwood. Merchandise for auction. For more information contact Annie on 01425 650447.

13 May Melodie's Walk - Fun 14 Mile Charity Walk from the Alice Lisle Pub, Rockford to The Royal Oak, Fritham, and back again! Put on your best fancy dress costume and complete the walk dressed up (optional!). Prizes for best and worst costume! Bring your heels along and complete the last mile of the walk in them (optional!) as a tribute to Melodie and her love of shoes!! 28 May Wessex Car Show at Breamore House Park near Fordingbridge, 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Hosted by Dorset Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club. Arena entertainment, Birds of Prey display, Live music, gift and craft stalls.

11 June Charity Garden Party in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally. 10.30 am to 5.30 pm at 48 Pinewood Road, Highcliffe BH23 5PL. Afternoon teas, plants, bric-a-brac, books, cakes for sale and a raffle.

16 June The Bournemouth Invitation XI vs The Lashings All-Stars at Chapel Gate Bournemouth. Squad includes Tino Best, Devon Malcolm and Gordon Greenidge. Gates open at 2pm match starts at 4pm. For more information and for sponsorship and table packages go here

2 July Muscliff Community Choir present 'Summer Serenade', Sunday 2nd July, 7pm at the Miramar Hotel, East Overcliff Drive, Bournemouth BH1 3AL. FREE to enter. All donations towards our rebuild fund for the new Macmillan Unit.

15 July Verwood Afternoon Townswomen's Guild presents The Entertainers in "Murder in the Roaring 20's", a charity murder mystery play at The Memorial Hall, Station Road, Verwood, BH31 7AA. Tickets are £14.00 to incluse a 3 course supper and coffee (please bring your own drinks and glasses). Tickets are available from our office on 01202 477628. 20's costumes optional.

20 August Afternoon Tea at the Grove Hotel, East Cliff, Bournemouth in aid of Macmillan Caring Locally. £15 per person including a glass of Pimms. The tea starts at 1.00 p.m. To purchase tickets or to enquire about having a stall, contact Angie Brooks or 07970 684721.

20 October Light up The Prom. Join us for a night of lights, music and remembrance in Bournemouth’s biggest memorial event. This is a joint charity event between Bournemouth Hospital Charity and Macmillan Caring Locally. For more information and to order your lights GO HERE

25 December The 10th Macmillan White Christmas Dip takes place at 10.30 a.m. to the right of Boscombe Pier, Bournemouth. Why not join us in fancy dress and have a dip in the sea on Christmas Day?
