Third Thursday of every month Rough Diamonds - A Writers' Event. Third Thursday of every month, 7.30 - 9.30pm at Lovitaly, I Market Place, Ringwood BH24 1AN. £5 on the door (concessions £3), all proceeds to Macmillan Caring Locally. Bring your own poems, prose or short stories to read, or just come to listen. There will be a featured talk by a published writer every month. We have a variety of events that are happening throughout the year. Here are a selection of what is coming up.

2018

01 January Start the New Year off with a bracing dip in the sea. The Christchurch Life Saving Club New Year's Day dip returns! It takes place at 12 noon on Friars Cliff beach in front of the Beach Hut Cafe and registration will be at the club hut which can be accessed via the steps next to the cafe. Please ensure that you register there before participating in the dip. All proceeds to Macmillan Caring Locally. To find out all the details, please go here

28 April Christchurch Lions Travelling Trends Fashion Show at Mudeford Wood Community Centre BH23 4TR. 7.00 for 7.30 p.m. Tickets £7.00 to include a welcome drink - must be purchased in advance. 12 May "Melodie's Walk". Fun 14 Mile Charity Walk from the Alice Lisle Pub, Rockford to The Royal Oak, Fritham, and back again. The walk starts at 10 am and includes Bacon Butties to start, then finish with a light supper at 5.30pm, followed by a raffle and quiz. 18 May AN EVENING OF LIVE MUSIC FROM THE GOODFOOT BAND & THE JOELLE FAMILY BAND at the Marsham Court Hotel, 7.30PM - 11PM. Light Buffet included. 03 August THE ENTERTAINERS ARE COMING TO TOWN! Macmillan Caring Locally Invitational XI vs The Lashings World XI at Chapel Gate, Christchurch BH23 6BD. 04 August Macmillan Caring Locally Summer Ball with special guest X Factor winner Sam Bailey. 3 course Black Tie Dinner followed by a cabaret from Sam Bailey and a disco. 9 November Light up The Prom. More details of this popular annual event to be confirmed.

25 December The 11th Macmillan White Christmas Dip takes place at 10.30 a.m. to the right of Boscombe Pier, Bournemouth. Why not join us in fancy dress and have a dip in the sea on Christmas Day?
